Workshop
Implementing a Benefits Management framework and culture into an organsiation
Benefits Realisation Management (BRM) is a concept that many organisations are challenged by. For example, who should be accountable for the delivery of benefits and ensuring their impact is as expected by all stakeholders? BRM is becoming more prominent within Programme Management, but its implementation as a process discipline is relatively immature.
This interactive workshop focuses on helping organisations understand the steps required to embed a benefits realisation management culture into an organisation, as an essential component of effective Programme Management.
Who Should Attend?
- Benefits Realisation Management is not the sole domain of the Programme or Benefit Manager. Good governance of benefits involves allocating ownership of benefits to those who can influence their successful delivery.
- This workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the Benefits Realisation process, that would be useful to Programme Directors or Managers, PMO staff, Business Change Managers, and Benefit Owners.
- Project Managers and Project Boards of whose mandate includes realising or demonstrating benefits.
Topics Covered
- Benefits Realisation Process – “Identify, Plan, Realise, Evaluate”
- Understanding the path from Output, to Outcome, to the Realisation of Benefits
- Benefits estimation – including how to avoid double counting
- Visualisation techniques – Benefits Maps
- Active Benefits Realisation – Measure as you go
